Eight countries. Four continents.
A network of 300 volunteers and 4,300 young people, built in three years from a single school in Freetown.
Freetown, Sierra Leone
Scholarships at Prince of Wales School cover tuition, books and meals for students whose results earned them the place — and whose families could not cover the cost.
Lagos, Nigeria
Mentors and mentees across West Africa extend the network beyond any single school or city.
Accra, Ghana
Volunteer mentors working with students identified early and supported through secondary school.
Nairobi, Kenya
The volunteer network now spans the continent, connecting young leaders to each other as well as to mentors.
New York, United States
Application support and mentorship that turned ambition into a fully-funded place at Berea College — and a home base at the United Nations.
London, United Kingdom
Mentors in the UK join a network that now reaches across Africa, North America, Asia and Europe.
Beppu, Japan
From Sierra Leone to a degree at Asia Pacific University — support that reaches the other side of the world.
New York, United Nations
Young people speaking for themselves at the ECOSOC Youth Forum, the High-Level Political Forum and the General Assembly.

Our story
“Young people are not just future leaders — they are active changemakers today.”
Born in Sierra Leone and now based in New York, Francis Koroma founded the Francis Koroma Foundation in 2023 to make sure that talented young people never have to face the climb alone. A Columbia University student, Forbes Council member, and Youth Ambassador for Sierra Leone's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, he built the foundation on a simple belief: empower young people with support, opportunity, and mentorship, and they will rise.
In three years, that belief has reached 4,300 young people across eight countries — through scholarships, mentorship, and a global network of 300 volunteers.

A message on our anniversary
Together, we can help a new generation of changemakers rise to the challenges of our time — challenges they can help us meet.
All we have to do is empower them with the resources to prepare — and make sure that, as they become the next generation of global leaders, they never have to do it alone.
